Company History

Contego Tech Solutions Inc. was formed in 2006 as a merger of two IT Support companies each with over 10 years of history. We have grown to a team of more than 10 full-time employees, with a list of part-time and contracted consultants for specialist work, large projects and work outside Alberta.

From our downtown Calgary office location, we combine remote service capabilities and a mobile workforce to offer immediate support for customers that have branch offices across Canada and the world.


Our customer base is wide and varied, with the majority of businesses that we support having between 25 – 250 users. Being in Calgary we have a significant number of Oilfield related clients including Petroleum Producers, Geology & Geophysics Exploration, Oilfield Services, Supply and Manufacturing. These companies have a high value mobile workforce as well as regulatory compliance mandates to follow; supporting these users challenges us to offer leading edge infrastructure and support while maintaining best practices for security and reliability.


Other industries we support include retail, service, restaurant, media, travel, accounting, education, property management, HVAC and electrical contractors. Each of these industries presents their own set of challenges.


Over half of our customers have their own in-house IT resources in some capacity; we supplement those resources to provide for gaps in their service capability, vacation and disaster recovery coverage, systems design and project management. We have the ability to work with internal and external resources, either as the managing lead or the technical resource using multi-vendor teamwork to provide the best possible experience for users and management.
